Onsite Companion — Terms of Service

    You pay a monthly subscription to use Onsite Companion. Your data is yours. You can cancel any time. We do our best to keep the service running but can't guarantee it will always be available. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  

1. Who we are

Onsite Companion is a product of Launchpad Studio Apps, a sole trader business operated by Steve Lane, United Kingdom. Contact us at stevelanestudios@gmail.com or visit launchpadstudio-apps.netlify.app.

2. What Onsite Companion is

Onsite Companion is a web-based business management tool for builders and tradespeople. It helps you create estimates and quotes, raise invoices, plan job programmes, track expenses and mileage, manage CIS payments, and communicate with customers. It is accessed through a web browser — no app download is required.

3. Who can use it

Onsite Companion is intended for use by builders, tradespeople and sole traders based in the United Kingdom. By signing up you confirm that you are using the service for business purposes, not as a consumer.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Do not share your password. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at stevelanestudios@gmail.com.

You must provide accurate information when signing up. One account per person — accounts are not transferable.

5. Free trial

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. Your card details are collected at signup but you will not be charged until day 15. You can cancel at any time during the trial and you will not be charged anything.

6. Subscription and payment

After the free trial, your subscription renews automatically each month. Pricing:

Founder rate — £25/month — available to accounts created within the first 30 days of launch. This rate is locked in permanently for those accounts.
Standard rate — £29/month — applies to all accounts created after the Founder window closes.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details — they are held by Stripe and protected under PCI DSS standards.

If a payment fails, your account will be paused. We will notify you by email. You can contact us to update your card details and reactivate your account.

7. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the My Account page inside the app. Cancellation takes effect immediately — you will lose access to the app straight away. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for the remainder of a billing period.

Your data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind. After 30 days it will be permanently deleted.

8. Your data

The data you enter into Onsite Companion — your jobs, quotes, invoices, customers and business records — belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use it for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use Onsite Companion for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
Reverse engineer, copy or resell any part of the service
Use the SMS features to send unsolicited or harassing messages

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Onsite Companion available at all times but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We carry out maintenance when needed and may occasionally need to take the service offline for updates. We will try to give advance notice where possible.

We are not liable for any loss of business or data arising from service downtime.

11. Intellectual property

Onsite Companion, its design, code and content are owned by Launchpad Studio Apps. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service for your own business purposes. You may not copy, reproduce or redistribute any part of it.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Launchpad Studio Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Onsite Companion, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business or loss of data.

Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email before any significant changes take effect. Continued use of Onsite Companion after that date means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
